Olive Tree...
I am excited to announce my best friend Kacey and I have started Olive Tree Photography! Rachel K is no longer...we are now Olive Tree...in the coming few days (or weeks) we will be working on a blog for Olive Tree and also a new website to take over for the Rachel K website. I am not sure why Kacey and I did not start a photography gig together in the first place, I think we work great together and I should mention she is a fabulous photographer! So stay tuned for more information regarding Olive Tree Photography. (Until all the Olive tree sites are fully up and running, the Rachel K sites will still be up.)

P is for Pumpkins.... Part 2
Growing up I never did like pumpkin pie, not sure why. I like it now...I also love pumpkin bars, YUM. My friend Kacey and I are dabbling in baking, we got together last Tuesday to make some cupcakes and cookies. My neighbor gave me this recipe for pumpkin bars they are delicious and easy to make! They are not too "pumpkinny" they are more like a cake than a bar, if that sways anyone's opinion ;)
I am going to try and share some great easy recipes every once and a while. So here is my first!
I am going to try and share some great easy recipes every once and a while. So here is my first!
Pre-heat oven to 350. Works best in a 12x18 greased pan (but just made cupcakes too.)
-4 eggs
-2 cups sugar
-1 15 oz can pumpkin (fresh or canned, I used some pumpkin I had frozen from my garden)
-1 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
Mix all above ingredients then sift in following (I don't usually sift.)
-2 cups flour
-2 tsp baking powder
-1 tsp baking soda
-1/2 tsp salt
-2 tsp cinnamon
-1/2 tsp ginger
-1/2 tsp cloves
-1/2 tsp nutmeg
Bake for 30 mins!
Cream cheese frosting is the topping on these cupcakes!
-1 6oz package cream cheese
-3/4 stick butter
-1 tsp vanilla
-4 cups powdered sugar
Mix together and be careful you could eat the whole bowl!

P is for Pumpkins....
Last Saturday we had a family day! We decided to go to Apple Jacks Orchard...kind of a big mistake. Seemed as though everyone else in the state thought to go there too! After about 10 minutes we decided to leave...it was way tooooo crowded! My mom had mentioned a little place call Berry Hill Farm literally up the street from our house! It is a super cute little farm, I guess you can pick strawberries there in the summer too! Might have to check that out! Here are a few pictures of (yes mostly Olivia :) during our two trips.

Olivia's First Haircut...
Olivia got her first haircut ever the other day from Grammie B! It was long over due, when she was a baby she lost some (but not all) her hair so there were numerous lengths and split ends. It was in need of some help! She isn't particularly a fan of when I comb her hair so I wasn't sure how it would go. I decided to try and distract her with painting...worked for the most part, although she did look a bit annoyed for a while. She also started to dance. Over all it went well and now she doesn't get as many snarls! Makes combing it soo much easier!
