I Heart Faces - Week 35 - Photojournalism

I have never participated in an Iheartfaces weekly challenge, so I thought why not this week!  The challenge for the week is photojournalism, using an image(s) to tell a story....this is what I came up with!

Camping!

The family and I are going camping for a night this weekend to see Richard's family at a little get together!  I am really excited to go (only wish Richard could have gotten off work for the other days, but he was DENIED, so sad!)  Anyways, we are camping in a tent...yes a tent with a one year old!  So in some ways I am glad that we are only going to for one night she we can see how she does and how I do for that matter!  My idea of camping is in a cabin or camper!  I will for sure have lots of pictures to post after the weekend!

In other news, I am still working on a new header for my blog...I am not to happy with the one I have on there now, the font is a bit pixely, and the picture is a bit blurry and I want it to be a bit more fun!  But I guess its not too bad for my first attempt...I made it in photoshop.  I know my way around photoshop...with plain old pictures, but it seems I was having issues with this!  I think I just need to play around with it some more!

I haven't uploaded any pictures this week...as a matter of fact I don't think I took any this week, how sad is that!  I will make up for it over the weekend though :)  But I am going to leave you with a picture of Olivia from a little while ago when she ate her first twinkie, hah she seemed a little sick afterwards so she hasn't had one since (but I am on a health food kick so its a good thing!)

I am in the process of redoing my blog again...I am determined to figure out how to make them myself!  I have half my header done....but I need to go to sleep now that it is 1:40am! 

time flies....

Is it really almost September??  The weeks have been flying by like crazy.  Pretty soon I will be planning a 2nd birthday!!  Olivia has been keeping busy, chatting up a storm.  She knows exactly what we are saying, I just wish I knew what she was saying!  She says many words she knows and a bunch of babbling!  I love it though, she is pretty hilarious to listen to.

I have been playing with the idea of trying to find a part-time job to help with the finances a bit.  I have photography gigs here and there that help but something steady would be nice.  I am having a tough time though with the thought of it....its not the whole I don't want to work idea, its more I don't want to leave Olivia.  Even if I am leaving her with her dad.  Now I just need to find a flexible part time job!!  That might be the tough part!

In other news my friend Kacey and I are dabbling in making cakes!  We made Olivia's first birthday cake and thought that turned out pretty well...we had fun making little monster cakes the other day :)

Not going to lie...

I am not going to lie....I have been rather cranky lately.  Are you ever cranky and really don't know why?  Well, I have been in the middle of knowing why and not.  One reason would be Olivia's not sleeping until 10:30 and 11:30 at night...don't get me wrong I love to snuggle and just be with her. She has never done it three nights in a row though...as a matter of fact she is still up but my lovely hubby is rocking with her and watching a movie because she is showing no signs of giving up!  I think I get antsy and irritated because after she falls asleep its my time to get things done or scrapbook or craft or edit pictures.  I always end of feeling bad after I get irritated or annoyed because she is still so little and doesn't really know.  So I will continue to work on my patience even if she is up until midnight :)

In other news Olivia and I went to visit Mary and Hailey one last time before they move to SD!  Its always fun to visit them!  The girls played and painted here is some pictures to tell the story!

-I sleep in the same little spot on our king size bed...but I somehow manage to wake up with my hair looking like I ran through a wind tunnel.

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?

-When applying for student loans I wish I would have been warned me about the large monthly bill I would be inheriting.

4. What was the best thing you ever found at a garage sale/flea market?

-Not sure if it was the best thing but maybe the best deal...one of those big little tikes playsets...with two slides...they are normally about $300 but I got one for $5!!!

5. If you could have any meal brought to you right now, what would it be?

-Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables....yum
