Dashing through the snow...and some Shutterfly fun!

I did that Saturday, dashed through the snow....I love the snow, I love the cold, it doesn't bother me a bit!  And a little snow wouldn't stop me from driving to my brother's to get him some medication because he wasn't feeling so hot.  It did take longer than usual because there was about 5 inches on snow on the ground and I took my time. Bring on the snow...I love it!

While I am at it, bring on Christmas and the lovely Christmas songs and decorations that come with it :)  I am looking at doing a nice Christmas card this year and I am definitely going with Shutterfly, I have made a few books with them in the past and love the service and quality! Its super easy to upload your pictures too, makes it more fun than thinking of it as a task! Last year was the first year I made (scissors, glue...) a Christmas card to send out to a few people...but I think this year I will go all out and save me a little time:)  Here are a few of my favorite from Shutterfly!  I think I am going to go with the stationary card, I like that you can just post it on the fridge, who wouldn't want your lovely face on their fridge right :)

This is my favorite!  I love the tree and the colors...

There are a bunch more that I love!  I am going to have a hard time deciding!  It can be super easy to send you your cards...especially since Shutterfly can also add postage and addresses to you cards!  How easy is that!

I also think making a calender would be an awesome Christmas gift....or a gift to myself!  I have been playing around with the idea of making one but just never got around to it...maybe I should get on that!

A walk, the park and my new lens!

It was a nice and toasty 40 degrees out today, for some reason I seemed to think it was a lot warmer than that.  So I convinced Richard to walk with me and Olivia and go to the park, which is maybe a mile away.  The breeze seemed a little colder than it was when I ran to the store and by the time we got to the park I felt as though I had taken "but its getting warmer out" a little too far.  It is still chilly. And even though the streets are clear of snow and snow is starting to melt in some spots, I am not sure why I thought the park would be clear of snow....needless to say we came home with wet feet.  We had to trudge, in our tennis shoes, to get Livy on a swing.  We walked there might as well make the most of it!  She had fun though, we could tell she was getting a little chilly so we decided to cut the trip a little short.  I got a few pictures with my new lens (canon 50mm f1.4) SO excited.  I didn't really get to use it to its full potential but I got a few good shots!

In other news not much else going on, Richard will start a 14 day stretch of working, blah but after he is done with that stretch we are taking a trip to Florida!  Disney World here we come!

Busy Day!

Gorgeous day today!!  And we decided to make the most of it..well yes we did go to an indoor playground but hey it wasn't that busy so a plus for us!  Richard and I decided to take Olivia to Adventure Park in Ham Lake.  I had heard of it from a couple other moms I know but never got around to going there well because before Olivia wouldn't have been able to do a whole lot :)  But she had a fun time.  They had a bunch of stuff for her to play with but of course she thought it was a heck of a lot more fun to play by the door!  They have a smaller toddler area and then a bigger area kind of like play places at McDonald's (minus the kids with greasy food all over their fingers!)  We were able to take her into the bigger part to go down a big slide...that was even fun for us :)

She was pretty busy, and she had a lot of fun with these little deflated balls, it was funny watching her try to pick them both up at the same time.
When we got home we also thought we would put on her snowpants and let her play in the snow...she had only been in it a few other times and it was really cold and she didn't really enjoy it.  She as still unsure of it though :)
She was pretty darn cute in her snow outfit though :)
