Olive Tree...

I am excited to announce my best friend Kacey and I have started Olive Tree Photography!  Rachel K is no longer...we are now Olive Tree...in the coming few days (or weeks) we will be working on a blog for Olive Tree and also a new website to take over for the Rachel K website.  I am not sure why Kacey and I did not start a photography gig together in the first place, I think we work great together and I should mention she is a fabulous photographer!  So stay tuned for more information regarding Olive Tree Photography.  (Until all the Olive tree sites are fully up and running, the Rachel K sites will still be up.)

I Heart Faces - Week 35 - Photojournalism

I have never participated in an Iheartfaces weekly challenge, so I thought why not this week!  The challenge for the week is photojournalism, using an image(s) to tell a story....this is what I came up with!

Little Green Chair...

I had been looking for a fun little chair to take pictures of kiddos on...after looking around antique shops and craft stores I found one in the basement!  This chair used to be my mom's...it needed a makeover and this is what it looks likes after I painted it! (I forgot to take a before picture...oops)

Kacey and I got together and took some pictures of Olivia...Kacey got a workout trying to keep her smiling...I bet anyone watching us was having a good laugh.  Kacey and Olive were running around me, back and forth in the chair, it was a good time :)  Here are a few pictures I think turned out!

Double the Trouble!

I recently had a session with some twins...Baby A and J.  SO cute!  They have been through a lot in their short little lives.  They were premies and born weighing only about 1 Pound each!  They pulled through though and are getting cuter by the day!

This picture made me laugh!  I love babies!

I Love Kids!

I recently went to a friends house to A. have a play date B. take some pictures of her stinkin cute daughter and one month old son.  Let me tell you my friend has the cutest kids...Little girl J had a little aversion to the camera but she warmed up a bit and I got a few "smiles."  I say "smiles" because she was probably thinking "ok,  if I pretend to smile will you stop taking my picture." Cute nonetheless!  Little guy L was very intrigued by what I was doing he seemed to be studying me very intensely! I forgot how tiny babies really are, my baby is getting big :)  I also forgot as my friend mentioned that little babies make the funniest noises!  But here are a few pictures!!

Aren't they the cutest!  I know Olivia had a fun time playing with Little J, after she warmed up a bit!  Olivia has been quite shy around people she doesn't see often but then warms up soon after.  She was walking around with a little pink shopping cart running into things, she was having a blast playing with that!  When we left I realized I forgot her sippy cup and sent a message to my friend, she sent one back saying it was in the shopping cart.  Figures!
