It was a gorgeous day outside today!! Still a little on the breezy chilly side,
but I am not going to complain! I have been waiting for the days we can open the
door and Olive can run outside! It IS what I wanted but I could do with out the
WOOD TICKS!
I do not use the word hate very often, or at least I try not to.
It is safe to say I hate wood ticks!
Olive and I came in for dinner after playing outside for a while...
ate dinner and then I happen to pull back her hair in a pony. I usually don't and not sure
why I did today but after dinner she is playing in the living room and I see a dark spot
right above her ear. Yuck. I immediately knew what it was. Luckily my dad was home and
I made him get it off. I HATE wood ticks...and I HATE leaches. They are
in the same category as each other...they bite or suck your blood. Disgusting.
I site here and feel all creepy crawly...I guess it is now time to have a nightly check for ticks!
Oh man I am right there with you. When we lived in WI Flurrie would carry in a TON. I was so grossed out by the whole thing. I was worried they would get on Hailey. Thankfully she only had a couple on her total for the year. The worst thing is I actually got lymes disease! Not fun.

We have the same problem!!! I wish I knew how to prevent it!! I don't know if I'll ever get used to finding those on myself or my daughter. It makes my stomach turn over to know I'm gonna have to pull them off!! Yuck.
