"Mom, I would rather eat the crayons..."

I know this is what Olivia is thinking when I give her crayons, markers and oh her favorite chalk.  We do not have a piece of chalk that does not have teeny tiny little bit marks on the ends.  Of course I tell her no,  then take them away...then next day I try again...once she bites into it, I say no, if she does it again I take it away.  Repetition is good right?  Soon she will figure out that she shouldn't eat the chalk?  Well the other day I decided to take out something new!  It was from Santa this last Christmas...

They are these fun little crayons that have big animal bodies for little hands to be easier to grab, made by crayola of course.  (She also got the marker ones but since they tend to end up in her mouth I thought better of taking those out just yet:)

She did very well with them, until I turned around to grab something and I turn back and see this...

Hah!  Look at her eyes, she is like "I am not doing what you think I am doing ma."  Little stinker...I started to color with her and she was distracted for a little while but every now and then I would see those eyes :)

She had fun though, thats all that matters right?  Well, that and the fact that they are non-toxic :)

I also have to add in that Olivia was wearing a pony tail :)
