Lately I have been thinking of a way Richard and I can get Olivia to (in the future of course) do her chores and for us to keep up on keeping track and giving rewards. And so I wanted to make a "chore"chart. Well, of course I am not going to give a 1 1/2 year old chores but I thought it might still be "fun" for her to get a little sticker for doing something well, or just doing it at all, for example brushing her teeth. So I came up with this (after a trip to my favorite craft store!)...
Olivia Can Do It! Not as daunting as a "chore" chart right? So we have five categories... Morning brushing teeth, saying please, saying thank you (she is signing them now, well when she wants to still working on them for the right timing :) picking up toys and night time brushing. Olivia responds very well from positive reinforcement and I think this will be a very good tool for teaching her. I can change it as she gets older, the pictures are on magnets so I can change them to dishes or cleaning. And we can give her allowance or whatever reward. She is to little now to understand the reward thing but she likes to move the magnets! I had her put one on for brushing her teeth tonight, its a good habit for her and me (I admit sometimes I forget to brush teeth at night!)
The chart was super easy...here is my list of things a 12x12 frame, a 12x12 sheet of metal (got it at crafts direct, haven't really seen them at other stores), magnets, buttons, foam letters and scrapbook paper. Really easy to do, just decorate as you please!
Thats all for now! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Rachel that is the cutest thing ever! You are so creative!
